A graduate of Rosedale High School, Mr. Postlewait went on to earn a Bachelor of Science in Physics and Mathematics from Southern Nazarene University. He later completed an Associate’s Degree in Electronics from the Electronics Institute of Kansas City and pursued graduate studies in Physics at the University of Missouri–Kansas City. He subsequently earned a Master of Information Systems Management from the University of Phoenix, reflecting his deep engagement with both theoretical and applied disciplines.
Professionally, Mr. Postlewait has spent more than three decades working with and managing computer systems, including nine years at Kansas City Kansas Community College and five years at the Leavenworth Public Library. Earlier in his career, he contributed to research on synthetic fuels at Gulf Research, working on the conversion of coal into a range of fuel products—experience that underscores his familiarity with complex technical and energy-related issues.
A lifelong resident of Wyandotte County, Mr. Postlewait’s roots in the community run deep. He and his wife, Cheryl, have been married for over fifty years, raising two daughters who attended local public schools and continued their education at Kansas City Kansas Community College and regional universities. This multigenerational connection to Wyandotte County’s schools, institutions, and neighborhoods informs his editorial perspective and his dedication to thoughtful, well-informed civic discourse.
