Meet Dennis Grindel

I am a lifelong Wyandotte County resident and have lived in our District 31 for over 25 years! I graduated from Wyandotte High School. I received an Associate’s degree from Kansas City Kansas Community College. My Bachelor’s degree in Business and Public Administration was earned from UMKC in 1992.

Issues

Taxes

Reduce, preferably eliminate, property taxes. People are being forced out of their own homes. This should not happen! If tax money is no longer available, there is no money available for millions in tax breaks and wasteful spending of tax dollars. Cities and municipalities would be forced to budget with what they get. Public safety and basic services are mandated, and they are required to fund these fully before anything else.

Data Centers

Data Centers! The BPU has already said that they cannot supply all the water and energy to support them and take care of our basic needs as well. They are sources of water, noise, and energy pollution! Elon Musk said he hopes to put data centers in space and in the oceans. If that’s the case, what will be needed to maintain a Kansas Data Center when the technology has moved on?

Foreign Interests

I will work to protect Kansas resources for Kansans! It is ours to keep! No foreign interests!

Farmer And Small Business

I will always be a friend to the farmer and small business.

I have lived a life of service to my country and to my community. I want my country, state, and community to be a safe place where all of us can afford to live for years to come. It is important to be a good listener, understand each other whether we agree or disagree with something, and work together to shape our future.

Transparency and accountability are extremely important. You deserve to be informed, have a voice and a vote in what is coming into, and going out of, our county. You deserve to know where public money is going and why. I will work to make sure funds are used wisely. Every dollar spent should be reviewed and clearly justified.
